Megan gets the Lead!

I am very proud to announce Megan has recieved the lead role as Hansel in the Spring ballet for "Hansel and Gretal". She is joined be one of her best friends(Hannah) as Gretal. Trip to Tacoma

Tracy and I went on day trip to Tacoma, WA last Friday. It was actually a job interview for Tracy and a reconecense mission for Heather. While Tracy spent the day being assaulted with every question imaginable abouthis "Leadership Style", Heather drove around the area looking at different communities that might be nice to live in. The best place was Gig Harbor, accross the Tacoma Narrows bridge on the Puget sound. If you have ever seen the famous video of the suspension bridge that was blown down in a wind storm in the 40's, that is Tacoma Narrows Bridge. We found the litle comunity very homey with a nice rural feel, but happy and surprised to find hidden in the trees was a new Costco, Target, several grocery stores with shopping complexes, and a new YMCA gym with a pool and climbing wall. (What else more could we need?)

We are a little torn with the choices placed before us. Should we:

1. Take the job(if it is even offered)


2. Hold out for a job overseas(if that will ever happen)


3. Just move back to SLC to be near family(even though we don't want to live in SLC)


4. Stay where we are FOREVER!(and always just dream of moving)

Of course all our confusion could be resolved of someone in the family would just move to the Beautiful Pacific Northwest and live near us.

Josh's Tae Kwon Do

My 1st attempt at downloading video is of Joshua's TKD test for his Purple belt in December. It starts with sparing and ends with him breaking a board. He worked for over a year to make it to the next level. Yahoo for Josh!

Welcome and Happy New Year

Well I have always wanted to get this blog going, so I guess the best place to start is with the New Year. We drove home from Idaho New Years Eve day, so we could be off the roads before the drunk drivers emerged. Got to bed early on New Years eve, and slept in New Years Day (I love my own bed). What a great way to start the year! School commenced Jan. 3rd and so did the extra curricular activities. So far here is our list of the things we do for fun.

Megan has ballet on Mon and Friday, Musical theater class on Tuesdays, Jazz band Wed. mornings before school, Girl Scouts every other (thank goodness) Friday eve, and Young Women's activities on Wed. eve. (Whew!!!)

Joshua has Tae Kwon Do two evenings a week(depending on the night I don't work). Cub scouts on Thursdays, and TAG classes after school on Fridays.

Erica has violin lessons Wed. after school, and group violin classes every other Friday afternoon. She also started ballet on Tuesday afternoons.

Heather goes to the gym almost every morning to get back in shape for the triathlon in May. She also just started a watercolor painting class Wed. mornings(soooo fun!). Goes to the school all the time for PTA meetings, and helps out occasionally in the kid's classrooms. Then spends the rest of her time doing mom/housewife stuff. She also works at the Birthplace every other weekend(Friday thru Monday). It is a great schedule though- 4 days on/ 10 days off.

Tracy slaves his life away everyday at work. Usually gets home between 6:30-7pm. If he is lucky he sneaks out of the office a few times a week to work out at the gym(since he is also going to participate in the triathlon this year).
